An elderly woman lost her life after being attacked by a wild elephant in Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district
A 70-year-old woman lost her life after a wild elephant trampled her in Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district on Tuesday, police officials said.The incident took place in Hijunglangsang village under the Jirikideng police station area. The woman, identified as Kasang Kropi, was on her way back from a religious event with a group of other women when they came across a herd of wild elephants.Police said that one of the elephants charged at the group and trampled the elderly woman, while the others managed to escape unharmed. She died at the scene due to severe injuries caused by the attack.
