Silchar’s Quickobook Ranked Among India’s Top 10 Startups
Silchar, Assam: In a major achievement for Northeast India’s startup ecosystem, Silchar-based healthcare technology startup Quickobook has been recognized among India’s Top 10 Startups at a prestigious national startup platform.
The recognition places the Barak Valley startup on the national innovation map and highlights the growing entrepreneurial potential of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India.
During the national event, representatives of Quickobook interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, discussing innovation, digital healthcare accessibility, and startup growth opportunities in smaller cities.
From Silchar to the National Startup Stage
Quickobook was founded by entrepreneurs Biswajit Paul and Jewel Sen with the aim of digitizing healthcare access and simplifying doctor appointment booking for patients across regions lacking organized healthcare systems.
What began as a regional initiative in the Barak Valley has rapidly grown into a nationally acknowledged healthcare startup. The platform connects patients with doctors, clinics, diagnostic centers, and medical services through a digital appointment and healthcare management system.
The recognition among India’s top startups validates the potential of innovation emerging outside metropolitan cities and showcases Silchar as a rising startup hub in Northeast India.
Interaction With National Leadership & Investors
The national startup event saw participation from key figures in India’s startup ecosystem, venture capital firms, and international investors. The interaction opened opportunities for:
- Strategic partnerships
- National expansion
- Investment discussions
- Healthcare digitization initiatives
Sources also suggest that the Government of India is drafting a Central Startup Committee to further strengthen the startup ecosystem, and entrepreneurial leaders from emerging regions like Silchar may be involved in future initiatives.
Boost for Barak Valley and Northeast India
This milestone is not only significant for Quickobook but also for Barak Valley, Assam, and the Northeast region. The recognition demonstrates that innovation is no longer limited to metro cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Delhi.
The achievement reinforces a strong message — startups from smaller cities can compete at the national level when supported by technology, vision, and local entrepreneurship.
Quickobook’s growth is expected to inspire new entrepreneurs from the Northeast to enter the fields of healthcare technology, digital services, and innovation-driven businesses.
